Our Service Policy

ORDERING

  • Orders with Springfield Camping can be placed either online - through our website, over the telephone, or over the counter in our shop.
  • Please do not email your credit card details to us. This is an unsecure way of transmitting your personal information and we can accept no responsibility for its security in these circumstances.

DELIVERY

  • Subject to the availability of individual item(s), orders received before 1:00 pm will be dispatched the same day (excluding weekends).
  • Orders are generally dispatched using our private courier DPD or Royal Mail.
  • Orders totalling £100.00 or more, subject to item availability, are eligible for FREE Next Working Day delivery to UK Mainland addresses.
  • This delivery policy applies to UK mainland addresses only. Customers who require delivery to remote areas of the UK may incur an additional delivery surcharge. In these rare circumstances, the customer would be advised of the surcharge prior to the dispatch of their order.
  • Upon delivery of the order, someone will be required to sign for the consignment. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that there is someone available to sign for the consignment at the specified delivery address, on the expected date of delivery. Our couriers will generally redeliver a consignment once, free of charge. However, any further redeliveries after this first redelivery, may result in an additional surcharge, which, depending on the circumstances, may be passed on to the customer.

INTERNATIONAL

  • Products shipped by us on International, non UK Mainland tariffs forego UK Mainland warranty terms and default to back to base. This means that should any warranty issue occur, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods to the UK.

PRICING

  • We take a great deal of time ensuring that the prices advertised on our website are both accurate and up to date. However, occasional errors do occur. If a customer orders a product that has been advertised at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to withdraw the product. Upon withdrawal, we will contact the customer, offering them the product at the correct price.
  • If we are unable to contact the customer after several attempts, the order will be cancelled. If payment for the order has already been made, the transaction will be credited in full.

PAYMENT

  • We accept most major credit cards with the exception of AMEX (American Express). We are unable to accept cash, cheques or postal orders for orders placed through our website. Customers who would prefer to make payment using these methods should place their order either over the telephone, or over the counter in our shop.
  • Although we can ship goods to an address of the customer's choosing, it is crucial that the customer specifies the correct registered billing address of their credit card. Without this address, the bank will not authorise the payment and we will be unable to complete the order.
  • When using a credit card, the customer should take time to ensure that the information they are providing is accurate and up-to-date. We can accept no responsibility for incorrect or incomplete information submitted to us by customers.
  • If we suspect that card fraud has taken place then every effort will be made to pursue and then prosecute the perpetrator(s).

CANCELLATIONS

  • Orders can be cancelled up to 7 working days after the customer has received the goods. Cancellation rights only apply if the goods are in a new and unused condition.
  • To return goods to us after this 7 working day period has passed, please refer to our returns policy.

RETURNS

  • Goods can be returned to us up to 14 working days after the customer has received the goods. Customers who would like to return items should contact us either by telephone or email, indicating the reasons why they wish to return the item(s).
  • Refunds minus the direct cost of outbound carriage incurred by us (generally around £5.00) will be issued on returns meeting the criteria stated above. Please note that this carriage deduction may also apply to items that were delivered free of charge.
  • Customers should contact us prior to returning goods to discuss the most appropriate delivery tariff to return them on. Small items like clothing garments are generally best returned by the customer, using Royal Mail. On heavier items, like tents, it may be more cost effective for us to organise collection of the items.
  • Customers returning goods should use the most cost effective, adequately insured delivery tariff available. We cannot accept responsibility for returns that are lost in the post.
  • We are unable to accept the return of food or maps.
  • We reserve the right to refuse goods returned to us in an unclean or damp condition. For health & safety, customers should ensure goods are clean and dry prior to returning them to us.
  • To instigate a return, customers should either call us on 01422 883 164 or email us using our contact page. The reason(s) why the customer would like to return the item(s) should be indicated.

COMPLAINTS

  • In the unfortunate circumstance that a customer is unhappy with any aspect of the service we have provided, we are happy to consider their comments.
  • To make an official complaint, customers can either call us on 01422 883 164 or email us using our contact page. We aim to respond to complaints within 48 hours of receipt.

DATA PROTECTION

  • All personal information that customers provide us with is stored and processed lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not share customer information with third parties.

SECURITY

  • Our website incorporates several measures designed to protect our customers. Personal information is communicated in a strong encrypted format, using a secure server which utilises SSL technology. Customers can make purchases through our website, safe in the knowledge that their personal information is secure.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Most of our stock arrives at our shop in cardboard boxes. Once these cardboard boxes are no longer required by us, they are flat-packed and then sent away for recycling.
  • The cardboard / plastic bags that our orders are packaged in are made from recyclable material.
  • We operate a policy of always asking our customers if they would like a carrier bag or not. Our carrier bags are made from environmentally friendly, recyclable, paper material.
